According to the Taiwan Electronic Times, battery module factories have been informed that the price of cylindrical lithium battery, Batteries will increase again early next year by 5%-15%. The  rise of cell in price roots in the increased downstream demand of lithium ion battery for electric vehicles and energy storage.

The latest Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) survey report shows that the average price of lithium-ion battery packs is now $132 per kwh, a 6% decrease year-on-year. However, due to increased material cost pressures, battery pack prices may rise to $135/kWh next year, further slowing the downgrade of electric vehicles.

Another report from the Taiwan Electronic Times added that battery price hikes will continue until 2023. NMC (811) batteries currently cost nearly $110 per kwh, and Q4 is expected to cost $10 more than Q1 per kwh. As for lithium ion phosphate batteries, which are known for their high performance-price ratio for a long time, it is also difficult to resist the pressure of supply chain costs. Since September of 2021, domestic prices have risen by 10%-20%.

Contrast with lithium ion battery, the material of aluminum air battery is abundant. And the outcome of the power generation process could be collected and reused again. With the superfluous energy, aluminum oxide could turn to aluminum again. It is a circulable closed loop. As a new category energy source technology, alu-air battery could be widely used as a backup power supply in the field of household, industrial, shipborne, outdoor activities, military etc.
